John Garlick

Jon Garlick is a graduate of Greens Farms Academy in Westport Ct. Nasson College in Springvale, Maine, and Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville Alabama. He holds a BS in Accounting and finance, an MS in Counseling and an Ed.S. in Counseling. He is a licensed professional counselor, a nationally certified counselor, a clinically certified juvenile treatment specialist, certified peace officer in Alabama, a certified hostage negotiator, certified jail manager, a crisis intervention specialist, a homeland security protection professional, Parent Project Facilitator, and a former certified management accountant.

For the last 17 years he has worked as a patrol deputy, jail administrator, patrol sergeant, and now Chief Deputy for the Sheriff’s Office and Mental Health Officer for Calhoun county. As Mental Health Officer, Jon has been working throughout the State to promote the mental health officer program and to bring to the forefront the need for more treatment beds and better treatment protocol.
